Malcolm Bowen, MS in HR-Management (Personnel Development), BA in Mathematics, and is certified in Neurolinguistic Programming. He was one of the five principal developers of Total Quality Management for Pacific Bell where he internally consulted, facilitated and trained several thousand employees in the use and application of Total Quality Management Tools and Processes. In his 24 years with Pacific Bell, he managed and led teams in numerous improvement efforts.
Mal has coached over 600 clients with the Coaching Personal Effectiveness Process. Since 1991, Mal and his partners have managed the company Performance Consulting. He specializes in Team/Group Facilitation; Baldrige-based reviews, Strategic Planning, process redesign and improvement, building the capabilities of teams to solve problems, process improvement and redesign and coaching Leadership teams as well as individuals.
Additionally Mal taught eight years of performance improvement, problem solving and Strategic Planning courses at the JFK University’s School of Management in Walnut Creek, California. And for three years, he also taught a Team/Group Facilitation course at the UC Berkeley Extension. The partners’ have published three workbooks that support their practice: The Quality Managing and Planning Tools’ System, The Basic Quality Improvement Tools and Crafting Personal Effectiveness (Coaching tool).
