NEW! ON-DEMAND TRAINING! Hear this encore performance whenever and wherever it's convenient for you! This event is available all day. |
The four most likely issues that will get your company sued: Wage & Hour, Termination, Sexual Harassment, and Disability. Sounds simple, right? Well, it isn’t.
Trying to stay on top of HR compliance information can become a full time job. Many HR professionals and small business owners have become overwhelmed by the sheer volume of rules and regulations governing compliance. How can you possibly keep up-to-date and still have time to do your job?
Join employment and human resources specialist Hunter Lott as he presents a revealing program focusing on HR compliance and employee lawsuit prevention. This “need-to-know” program will arm you against frivolous lawsuits by educating you on the top compliance issues every company must face.
Here's some of what you'll learn in this lively, eye-opening audio conference:
- What do you mean I just can't put them on salary and not pay overtime? 3 wage and hour practices that scream “Please Sue Me”
- 50% of all employers may be out of wage and hour compliance! The consequences can be painful — double the damages, back over 2 years, for all current and former employees.
- Being an "at-will" employer is no steel curtain against lawsuits. Discover why your "probationary period" may negate the "at-will" relationship.
- There’s a time and a place for everything. Learn to differentiate between reasonable and at-will terminations or pay the consequences.
- It’s a very fine line when dealing with sexual harassment. Bring the gray areas into focus with this sample “anti-harassment” policy.
- Why do I have to hire someone who I know can't do the job? Learn how to define "reasonable accommodation”.
- And much more!
