Are you getting the high-quality, timely work that you're paying top-dollar for from your Independent Contractor (IC)? Whether you've never worked with ICs before or you've employed several already, you might not be getting the most bang for your buck if you're making these surprisingly common mistakes.
Many companies — both large and small — currently use ICs to gain specialized expertise that they don't have in-house. Or they use ICs to complete short-term projects while avoiding the extra expenses, commitment and legal risks that come with on-staff employees. But among the obvious advantages are many expensive pitfalls.
Join expert speaker Sarah Terry as she walks you through all the do's and don'ts of hiring, managing and working with ICs in your company. You'll learn smart tips for combining ICs with your regular staff and find out what IC-management mistakes you might be making.
Here's just some of what you'll learn in this informative, eye-opening conference:
- How to keep your ICs' work consistently top-notch.
- When and how you should treat ICs differently than your regular employees.
- The 4 most common mistakes companies make when working with ICs – and how to avoid them.
- Why you should develop an internship program in your company.
- Decision-making tools you can use to determine whether you should hire an IC.
- Techniques to motivate and reward ICs.
- Why you need to develop standardized company-wide practices and procedures for working with ICs.
- And much more!
